The University of Cape Coast Chapter of BASSOSA has brought its Homecoming programme to a successful end. The Chapter embarked on a homecoming programme from Friday, 22nd to Sunday, 24th February, 2013. Other BASSOSANS form the various tertiary institutions also participated to contribute their quota.
The activities started on Friday, 22nd February,with a courtesy call on some of the school authorities.
The old students, on Saturday morning, joined the students for a clean-up exercise throughout the campus. This was followed by a talk by the old students with the Forms one and two students on the topic, “Achieving Academic Excellence.” Other areas of the academia were also tackled. In the afternoon, there was a football match between the old students and the schoolteam which resulted in a 5-2 score against the school team. The old students then joined the school for their entertainment.
The old students and the school joined for a Thanksgiving service on Sunday, 24th February. The preacher (an old student) admonished the students to keep on with their faith even as they are in school for the Lord is the Alpha and Omega of everything that was made. He also encouraged them to be disciplined as it is one of the keys to a successful life.
A presentation was made by the old students and they donated15 containers to be used as dustbins to the school, so as to keep the environment clean.
The headmistress, Madam Sabina Forson, in her speech, expressed gratitude to the old students for thinking about their Alma matter and for the kind gesture shown to the entire BASS community. She also entreated both the BASS students and the old students to continue with every good work they have started.
The chapter President, Mr. Richard Ben Dadzie, in his speech, also encouraged the students to take their studies serious so as to make it to the tertiary level and develop new ideas, as well as fitting well into the larger society. He continued to thank the entire staff and students of BASS for contributing their quota in making the homecoming successful.
After the church service, the BASSOSANS had a talk with the Forms three and four students, who are about writing their WASSCE, on the topics, “Achieving Academic Excellence & Life at the Tertiary Level.” This enlightened most of the students on how they can gain opportunities into the various tertiary institutions and how life in the tertiary level is. The old students also encouraged them to equip themselves with other entrepreneurial skills which will make the fit well into the society and achieve greater success.
The old students then met with the school authorities for the closing courtesies, after which they departed for their various destinations.

The 2012 inter-house athletics competition was held on the 29th - 30th November 2012. This activity was done at the school field of Breman Asikuma Senior High School. It started at 14:00 and ended at 17:30. The Second session started on the 30th at 8:30 and ended at 17:30.
At the end of the activites, House 2 (Akyea House) came first, House 1 (Amoakwa Boadu House) came second, House 3 (Essuman House) came third, and House 4 (Okwan House) came fourth.

The 2012 leavers of Beautiful BASS attended a Thanksgiving Service at Breman Asikuma S.H.S. The activities started on the Friday, 2nd and Ended on Sunday, 4th November, 2012. A revival programme was organized by the Chaplaincy from the 31st of October, towards this Thanksgiving Service. Various activities were organized on the Friday and Saturday. Sunday was the actual Thanksgiving Service, which started around 9:00am. Very Rev. Francis K. Ennuson, (Asst Headmaster, academics), in his sermon, admonished students to walk with the word of God and put their trust in God alone. He also encouraged them to Identify and Follow the footsteps of the Good Older BASSOSANS by making them their role models.
Mrs. Sabina Sylvia Forson, the headmistress, also advised the young BASSOSANS to continue to take education seriously and pursue it to the highest level. She also advised the to desist from actions that will create pandemonium even as we are in the election period. She outlined the projects that have been completed and those that are still under construction, and also sought the support of the young BASSOSANS in uplifting the image of Beautiful BASS.
Master Prince Ababio, the Senior Boys' Prefect of the 2011/2012 academic year, also represented the BASSOSANS. In his speech, he expressed gratitude to the entire staff of the school, especially the headmistress, Mrs. Forson, for the immense support they have given them, which urged them to get to this level. He also encouraged the students to take their lessons serious, as it is the only means of achieving greater heights in the academia.
The service came to an end around 12:20pm, after which the BASSOSANS departed to their various destinations.

A sod cutting ceremony was held at Breman Asikuma Senior High School for the commencement of the fencing of theb front view of the school. This, as said by the school administration, will help increase the security on campus as well as beautifying the environment of the school.
A dedication service was also held to dedicate the school chaplain's manse. This is to help make the work of the school chaplain easier as well as helping in the spiritual growth of the members of BASS community.

The 2012 BASSOSA HOMECOMING has been successfully brought to an end. The event took place from the 6thof July to 8th July, 2012. The BASSOSANS arrived around sunset on the 6th.The programme started with a Talk on the topic “DISCIPLINE”, after which othermessages were received from the BASSOSANS.
The next day started with a keep fit exercise and aerobics, then a clean-up exercise was organized to tidythe campus. A talk was then given by Dr. Asonaba Addisson of UEW (a BASSOSAN)on the topic, “LEARNING TECHNIQUES”. After the talk, both the students and the BASSOSANS went on a float from the schoolto the old site of BASS and back. At the old site, Mr. Paul Mensah Ziorklui, a BASSOSAN, gave a short history of BASS. In the afternoon, fun games wasorganized between the students and the BASSOSANS of which the BASS team scored the BASSOSA team 3 – 1 in the football match. The events continued with anentertainment in the evening.
The event was climaxed with a Thanksgiving Service on the Sunday, 8th July. An address wasreceived from the Headmistress of BASS, Mrs. Sabina Forson and Mr. Walter Blankson, the President of BASSOSA National. The president, in his speech, admonished students to take their studies serious for it is the only way toexcel academically. He also encouraged both the BASSOSANS and the students to dothe best they can to make Beautiful BASS (BB) a greater school and to exhibitthe motto of the school, DZIN PA YE SEN AHONYA (Good name isbetter than Riches).
BASSOSA donated a cheque worth GHS10,000.00 to the school for the fencing of the frontage of the school. Other BASSOSANS also donated both in cash and in kind. The BASSOSANS departed to their various destinations after the church service.

The headmistress of Breman Asikuma Secondary School, Madam Comfort Agyeiwa Akomanyi, has brought her service to a succesful end. A send off service was conducted on the 18th of March 2012 to say thank you for her Hardwork, Dilligence, Discipline, and Humility with which she served the School.

An induction service was also conducted on that same day to welcome the new headmistress, Mrs. Sabina Forson, and to hearten her on such a great task put before her.
The Board of Directors of the school, the Administration, the Old Students, the entire student body, Parents, Friends and loved ones were present to grace the occassion.
